Washington State has extended the contract of football coach Mike Leach for two years, ensuring he’ll be at the helm through the 2018 season.Leach has led WSU to a 5-5 record in his second season with Cougars, that’s the most wins for the Cougars at this point in the season since 2006.

AD Scoop has learned, Eleven athletic department employees at the University of Memphis are losing their jobs as part of a broader restructuring to cut expenses. The school has eliminated 24 athletic department positions, including the 11 employees and unfilled positions.
AUBURN UNIVERSITY
Auburn released documents pertaining to its secondary NCAA violations during the 2012-13 fiscal year. The 16 violations were reported in 18 pages. The violations ranged from impermissible calls to recruits by assistant coaches to improper use of Twitter by a student manager to promote a recruit’s official visit to campus.
