Alabama reported $143.4 million in athletic revenue during 2012-13, up 16% from last year. Alabama’s athletic revenue is up 43% since Nick Saban’s first BCS national championship in 2009 and 112% since Mike Shula left the sidelines in 2006.

Arizona Athletic Director Greg Byrne ruled out the possibility he would leave for the University of Texas recently. Byrne has done wonderful things for both UA and Mississippi State, but Texas was never really interested, especially since Greg’s father, Bill Byrne, was Texas A&M’s AD at one point.

NCAA Sanctions finally came for Miami this morning. The hurricanes will lose 9 scholarships but not have to sit out of any more bowl games. Miami self-imposed a bowl ban the past two years and sat out of an ACC championship. Read More.

The NCAA will unveil the findings of its investigation into Miami athletics and any proposed sanctions on Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM EST. Britton Banowsky, who chairs the infractions committee, would discuss the decision on a teleconference at 11 a.m.

AD Scoop has learned that Clemson University trustees made final approval of $8.9 million in improvements at the baseball stadium and a third phase of the WestZone project at Memorial Stadium.
PENN STATE UNIVERSITY
Penn State will host the 2014 and 2015 U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association Golf National Championships.The championships will be held at the Penn State Blue Course in October during the next two years.
EASTERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY
Eastern has seen attendance increase this football season. This year they’ve done $118,000 in ticket sales. In the 2012 season, the program sold $84,400 worth of tickets, which was a decrease of $11,700 from 2011. Football ticket sales are projected to earn about $90,000 each year, making this season an obvious success.

AD Scoop has learned that Clemson University trustees are starting the ball rolling to rebuild Littlejohn Coliseum in time for the 2016-17 basketball season. Clemson AD, Dan Radakovich projects the project to cost between $60-80 million
