AD Scoop has learned that Brian Moore joined the High Point University Athletic Department as Assistant Director of Athletic Facilities & Operations. Moore comes to HPU from Winthrop University.

AD Scoop has learned Vince Baldemor, the Executive Director of ‘Ahahui Koa ‘Anuenue at UH has accepted the Executive Director of Athletics position at Hawai’i Pacific University, one of the state’s four NCAA Division II schools. Baldemor, who was hired as AKA’s first executive director in 2003, will join HPU in January 2014.

AD Scoop has learned, Tiger sports teams combined for a score of 81% in the release of the NCAA’s Graduation Success Rate data this week. LSU’s scores have steadily improved since the inception of the GSR in 2005, when the school posted a score of 67%.
UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE MARTIN
AD Scoop has learned that UT Martin athletic director Phil Dane will retire effective Dec. 31. Dane has worked at UTM since 1979 and been the athletic director since 2000. School Chancellor Tom Rakes said he’ll soon form a search committee of about 6-10 people and would like to have a new athletic director hired in January or February.

The AD Scoop is reporting that Denise Da Silveira has been promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Sales. Da Silveira joined the department as the Director of Corporate Sponsorships and Marketing in November 2009.

AD Scoop has learned, Wyoming is paying Collegiate Sports Associates $35,000 to develop a team to conduct an assessment of the operations, organizational structure, facilities, and financial resources that support Wyoming’s football and men’s basketball programs. We wonder if they’ll conduct interviews like the Bobs did in Office Space?

AD Scoop has learned that A Mississippi man was charged with attempting to extort $3.5 million from the University of Louisville Athletic Association by a federal grand jury yesterday. The man allegedly tried to threaten U of L with allegations of point-shaving by the basketball team during the NCAA Tournament last spring.

AD Scoop has learned Utah is looking for a Ticket Sales/Annual Fund Account Executive to generate revenue through private donations and the selling of season ticket and group ticket packages to businesses, community groups and individuals.
COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY
AD Scoop has learned that CSU has recently hired Ryan Miller and Sean Curtis as Assistant Ticket Office Managers. Daniel Preuett was hired as an Assistant Sales Manager. Miller comes from Old Dominion, and Preuett from the Indiana Sports Corp.
