Michigan interim athletic director Jim Hackett issued an open letter on Sunday afternoon asking fans to support the team after Saturday’s 27–23 loss to Michigan State. The Wolverines were up 23–21 with 10 seconds left in the game when punter Blake O’Neill fumbled the snap and Michigan State sophomore Jalen Watts-Jackson came up with the ball and scored the game-winning touchdown.
