The games are great but the bottom line is the bottom line. It certainly is for University of Alaska Anchorage Athletic Director Keith Hackett. When Hackett took over the department nearly two years ago he knew juggling finances would be part of the job. It is for any Athletic Director at any university regardless of its financial health. “Combined with last year’s shortfall of $350,000, we’ve been reduced close to $1 million over the last two years,” said Hackett.
