Stony Brook athletic director Shawn Heilbron unveiled his new fundraising program titled “Together We Transform”.”The number we use internally is we need to raise $100 million,” Heilbron told Newsday. “It’s a lot of money. That can come from the state, it can come from private donors, but that’s the reality.”It’s not just facilities. It’s operating dollars; it’s hiring staff; it’s everything we have in that plan. That’s our goal over the next five years. It’s a big number, but I’m excited about the challenge. I know what Stony Brook University has done to attract new donors, and it gives me hope we’ll be able to get there.” – Greg Logan, Newsday Read More
