Mike Faro officially retired as athletic director for the school in North Chili that has recently elevated to NCAA Division II after decades playing in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA). A 1973 graduate of the college, he was first a standout athlete and team MVP as a senior in soccer, basketball and tennis before coaching men’s soccer, men’s and women’s basketball and tennis and track and field. Faro impacted thousands of student-athletes and is considered a mentor by many. Allen used that word. –
