George Bright, who has spent 22 years as a member of Lafayette College’s senior athletic administration, has been named the director of athletics at Moravian College, an NCAA Division III school in Bethlehem, Pa. The associate director of athletics on College Hill for the past 15 years, Bright will take over Moravian’s athletic leadership reins on Sept. 1. Bright played an integral role in the planning and construction phases of Lafayette’s $23 million transformation of Fisher Stadium. He also assisted in the $36 million construction and renovation of Allan P. Kirby Sports Center, and several of the significant improvements at the College’s Metzgar Fields Athletic Complex. Bright coordinated and supervised Lafayette’s summer camps and preseason team camps, as well as the logistics for internal support areas, and the scheduling of outside events.
