Jay Jacobs announced he would be hiring a Chief Inclusion Officer. The CIO position will be a full-time employee on the Auburn athletics payroll charged with helping compliment the diversity initiative among the entire university. “Our goal is to build and maintain first-class facilities for our athletes and fans and to put our student-athletes in a position to compete for championships,” Jacobs said Tuesday.Among other issues presented in Jacobs’ “16 for ‘16” initiative were improvement to facilities, a feasibility survey on possible renovations to Jordan-Hare Stadium already posted on Auburn’s athletics website and a commitment to a 950 Academic Progress Rating for all athletics programs. – Matthew Stevens, Montgomery Advertiser.
