Since Mike Hamrick returned to his alma mater, Marshall’s Athletic Director has lined up the first Big Ten opponent to visit Huntington, West Virginia, along with future dates with North Carolina State, Louisville, Pittsburgh and Navy. Of course, Purdue is the Big Ten program visiting the Thundering Herd on Sunday. Hamrick is trying to make Joan C. Edwards Stadium a destination for programs from the Big Ten, Atlantic Coast, Southeastern and Big 12 Conferences. It’s significant Purdue is helping the Thundering Herd break new ground.
