Wichita State has reported an NCAA violation for contact with men’s basketball recruit Peyton Allen and his family on July 31. Allen and his family traveled to Wichita on July 31, one day before the start of an NCAA recruiting period in which contact is allowed on campus, to make a paid recruiting visit. The family had contact, including a meal, with coaches one day before allowed. Coaches are allowed to meet with recruits or pay for meals starting Aug. 1. An athletic department official confirmed the violation Monday. The Level III violation means WSU will lose two recruiting days and one on-campus visit, limiting WSU to 11 for the next year. – Paul Suellentrop, The Wichita Eagle, Read More
