Former Runnin’ Ute forward Chris Burgess has joined Mark Pope’s staff at Utah Valley University as an assistant coach, the university announced Wednesday. Burgess, who has served as an undergraduate assistant at Utah and an assistant coach at Salt Lake Community College, comes to the Wolverines by the way of Indian Hills Community College in Iowa, where he was also an assistant coach. – Ryan Miller, Deseret News.
