Barring a surprising move by the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System, UW athletes will be outfitted by Under Armour beginning with the 2016-’17 academic year. The regents are scheduled to vote Friday on a proposed 10-year deal between Under Armour and UW. The Budget and Finance Committee is set to discuss the proposal on Thursday. According to the Under Armour proposal: UW will receive $3.3 million in product during the first year of the deal to account for the increased product needs associated with the change from adidas to Under Armour. UW will receive $2.45 million in product in the second year of the deal.
