A UW Regents business and finance committee approved an agreement that would switch athletics apparel to Under Armour after 15 years under a contract with Adidas.  The decision will go to the full Board of Regents Friday. According to a resolution, Under Armour would outfit and equip all 23 Badgers teams. In the first year alone, the Baltimore-based company would pay the university’s athletics department $4 million cash in the first year, along with providing $3.3 million in uniforms, shoes and equipment. In comparison, UW-Madison received a maximum of $800,000 cash and nearly $1.4 million in apparel each year of the current contract.
