The University of Texas has called an 11 a.m. news conference to address the departure of Athletic Director Steve Patterson and to name Mike Perrin as interim athletic director. Late Tuesday afternoon, the university, through a letter sent from President Greg Fenves to students, faculty, and staff announced that Steve Patterson would not return as athletic director.
