Heather Butler, the leading scorer in UT Martin history, is returning to her alma mater as part of the Skyhawks’ coaching staff. Butler completed her college playing career in 2014 after leading UT Martin to NCAA Tournament appearances each of her four seasons. Butler scored 2,865 career points, an Ohio Valley Conference record. Butler made 392 career 3-pointers at UT Martin and shared the NCAA Division I record in that category with former Kansas State player Laurie Koehn until their mark was broken this past season by Connecticut’s Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis. – The Associated Press, Idaho Statesman.
