University of Tennessee athletics director Dave Hart said Thursday he trusts football coach Butch Jones “implicitly,” but said he could not address the allegations made against Jones and other football players by former wide receiver Drae Bowles in an amendment to a federal Title IX lawsuit against UT on Wednesday. “I believe very strongly in what we’re doing here in the athletics program at the University of Tennessee and I trust Butch Jones implicitly,” Hart said. “I know who he is. I know what his work ethic is. I know what he’s meant to this university well beyond the department of athletics, and I know how he’s represented the university.
