Texas coach Tom Herman is scheduled to receive a two-year contract extension after a successful 10-win season capped by a Sugar Bowl victory. The UT System Board of Regents is scheduled to vote on a new agreement for Herman at next week’s meeting. Herman’s new deal was outlined in the regents agenda book posted late Friday. Herman’s current deal runs through 2021. Under the new contract, Herman would not receive a pay raise but get two years tacked onto the back end. The coach would receive $6.5 million for 2022 and $6.750 million for 2023. –
