North Texas announced on Friday that it will name its new indoor practice venue the Lovelace and McNatt Families Practice Facility. The UNT Board of Regents approved the name this week. “We could not prepare student-athletes for competitive excellence and personal development without the foundation of great supporters like the Lovelace and McNatt families,” UNT athletic director Wren Baker said in a statement. “We are happy that their name will live forever on this building, and they will have a legacy within Mean Green athletics for generations.” The venue is under construction and is set to open this fall. The facility is being built over one of the fields at the Darrell R. Dickey Football Practice Facility. It will be 196 feet by 426 feet and have a 55-foot ceiling. The venue will include an entry lobby and recruiting lounge. Don and Patty Lovelace, their son, Dillon, and granddaughter, Macey, donated $2.5 million toward the project. Jim and Linda McNatt and Al and Darlene McNatt gave $3 million.  – Brett Vito, dentonrc – Read More
