With its season opener against Florida a sellout, Miami athletics director Blake James is confident there could be more opportunities for the two college football powers to face off. The Hurricanes are set to take on the Gators at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on Aug. 24. The game was moved up a week to be featured during the kickoff to the 150th anniversary of college football. It’s the latest meeting in an occasional series between the two in-state schools that dates back to 1938 and their first game since 2013. “[Florida athletics director] Scott [Stricklin] and I have spoken about it and we’ll continue to talk about it, but again scheduling is very challenging,” James said during a break at the ACC spring meetings Tuesday. -Matt Murschel, Orlando Sentinel.
