While the Florida Athletic program was busy achieving success on and off the playing field in 2018-19, the supporters of Gators Athletics turned in their own spectacular performance – giving $62.7 million this past fiscal year, surpassing $60 million in total commitments for only the second time in school history. Gator Boosters Inc., the non-profit fundraising arm for UF Athletics, received $34.8 million in football and basketball annual fund commitments, and $27.9 million in major gift commitments in 2018-19. “Part of providing a championship experience with integrity involves providing financial support for top-tier facilities for our student-athletes, coaches and fans to experience in Gainesville and for our scholarship endowments,” said Executive Director of Gator Boosters, Phil Pharr.  The University of Florida Athletic Association invests more than $14 million per year for scholarship aid and almost $18 million in support services for student-athletes. On average, the UAA spends over $66,000 per scholarship student-athlete annually, most of which is funded by Gator Boosters. – Read More
