Florida’s next athletic director will be an external hire. University Athletic Association spokesman Steve McClain says three internal candidates – associate ADs Mike Hill, Chip Howard and Lynda Tealer – “have made a decision not to pursue the athletic director position for their own individual reasons.” Hill, Howard and Tealer are retiring AD Jeremy Foley’s top executives.
