Associated Student Government senators passed a resolution Nov. 13 that urges the UA Athletic Department to name the basketball court at Bud Walton Arena after a former Razorback basketball coach. Senators passed a nearly identical resolution last year, but athletics officials never acknowledged its request to change the name of the arena’s court. Smith visited with Mr. Yurachek and informed him that ASG was considering a bill in support of naming the court, and Mr. Yurachek expressed his appreciation for the notification and encouraged them to pursue whatever ASG legislation they deemed appropriate,” Trainor said in an email. “However, Mr. Yurachek did not endorse or express any position on the nonbinding ASG bill.” -Elias Weiss, Arkansas Traveler, Read More
