University of Maryland director of athletics Kevin Anderson has named Tyler Mariucci associate athletics director for sports administration and development relations Wednesday. Mariucci, 30, will be a member of Anderson’s senior leadership staff and will also serve as the sport supervisor for the following intercollegiate teams at Maryland: women’s basketball, baseball, field hockey, wrestling, women’s golf, women’s lacrosse, men’s outdoor track & field, women’s cross country, women’s indoor track & field, women’s outdoor track & field and women’s tennis. Prior to Maryland, he served as the Assistant Athletics Director for Development at the University of Memphis. A graduate of California Polytechnic State University – San Luis Obispo, Mariucci received his B.S. degree in Kinesiology in 2007 and M.A. in Kinesiology/Sports Management from San Jose State in 2010.
