Matt Viator will have to hope his coaching career at Louisiana-Monroe gets off to a smoother start than his introduction. The former McNeese State coach was formally introduced as the 13th head coach in ULM history on Monday morning at Malone Stadium in Monroe.  The ceremony was not without peculiarities — ULM President Nick Bruno mispronounced Viator’s last name, Athletic Director Brian Wickstrom related a story about Viator unclogging the toilet in the Sam Houston State visitor’s locker room as an example of his blue-collar, can-do spirit, and the first question asked of him was posed by ULM’s mascot, who is mute. Viator, who last week interviewed twice for the position, did not learn he was hired until Sunday night. He has not yet determined who will join his staff in Monroe. -Alex Hickey, americanpress.com- Read More
