The University of Kentucky has not been contacted as part of any investigation into the allegations that a University of Louisville basketball staffer paid Katina Powell thousands for sex with the team’s players and recruits, UK Athletic Director Mitch Barnhart said Monday. UK also recruited at least one of the players mentioned in Powell’s book and has signed players that also visited Louisville as recruits during the period the incidents are alleged to have occurred. “I don’t want to get into any of that. I don’t think that’s our issue,” Barnhart said. “I’m proud of what our kids do, the way they conduct themselves. If anybody wants to work with us we’ll always work through our Compliance Office to answer the right questions the right ways to the right people, but we haven’t been contacted and don’t anticipate that. – Jon Hale, The Courier-Journal, Read More
