UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS

After more than three months of searching, Illinois has found its next athletic director. The university has hired Josh Whitman from Division III Washington University, according to sources. Whitman, 37, played football at Illinois from 1997 to 2000 and worked in the athletic department from 2005 to ’08 as coordinator of special projects and then as an assistant to former AD Ron Guenther. Illinois is expected to formally introduce him later this week. -Shannon Ryan, Chicago Tribube, Read More
