The search for a new University of Illinois athletic director appears to be heading into the home stretch. According to various media reports, finalists are getting in-person interviews this week in Indianapolis. The university announced Dec. 4 it had formed an eight-person search committee, then later said it had hired Korn Ferry, the world’s largest executive search firm, to assist in the process. Among those said to still be on the university’s radar are Tom Michael, the former Illini basketball player and current A.D. at Eastern Illinois; Josh Whitman, the former Illini football player and current A.D. at Washington University in St. Louis; and Sean Frazier, current A.D. at Northern Illinois. -Mark Tupper, Pantagraph– Read More
