University of Detroit Mercy head women’s basketball coach Bernard Scott has announced a few changes on the women’s basketball staff starting with the addition of a new assistant coach in Tara Fleming. Fleming is no stranger to the Jesuit academic background as well as the Horizon League playing at Youngstown State and coaching at Canisius. She spent the last nine seasons on the sidelines for the Golden Griffins, helping the program to seven MAAC Championship quarterfinals appearances and a run to the title game.
