University of Dayton Vice President and Director of Athletics Tim Wabler announced today that he will retire, effective Sept. 1. Wabler, 63, is the first Dayton native to serve as UD’s Director of Athletics. He is a 1974 Dayton graduate and was a three-time pitcher of the year for the baseball team. He began working in the athletic department in 1993 and took over his current role in 2008.
