Julian Assibey has been named an assistant coach for the University of Colorado women’s basketball program, head coach Linda Lappe announced on Tuesday. Assibey spent the 2014-15 season as the team’s video coordinator, breaking down game and practice video while assisting with scouting reports and Colorado’s basketball camps. He replaces Jenni Benningfield who resigned earlier this month to pursue other career opportunities. Assibey will coach Colorado’s posts, headlined by senior Jamee Swan, an honorable mention to the 2014-15 All-Pac-12 Conference team and the Buffaloes’ leader in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots. –  Troy Andre, Cubuffs.
