Tom Wistrcill, Director of Athletics for the Akron Zips is resigning June 16th. Wistrcill will become  Senior Vice President with Learfield Sports, based in Dallas, Texas. Before joining Akron in September 2009, Wistrcill served for three years as Senior Associate Athletics Director at the University of Minnesota, managing ticket sales, marketing and licensing. Prior to joining Minnesota, Wistrcill was the General Manager of Badger Sports Properties at the University of Wisconsin
