Multiple sources are reporting that Holy Cross Athletic Director Nathan Pine is leaving to become the next Athletic Director at The Air Force Academy. Pine is in his fifth full academic year as the director of athletics at the College of the Holy Cross. He was named the school’s eighth director of athletics on Dec. 17, 2013. Pine has previous military academy experience as he spent four years at the United States Military Academy serving on the athletic senior leadership team. He was responsible for all business initiatives for Army and oversight of the external operations areas for athletics.  Former Air Force AD Jim Knowlton vacated the position in April 2018 and quadrupled his salary at California. The academy recently positioned itself to be more competitive in the compensation package it can offer its next athletic director as it is paid through the Air Force Athletic Association Corp. instead of the government. Parker Executive conducted the search.  Additional Source.
