UGA Athletic Department Finances From 2005-2012

081310-UGA-AD-McGarity-dt12-945x971Continuing on with the athletic department finances in the SEC . The table below shows UGA Athletic Department finances from 2005-2012. While the total revenue is slightly down from 2011, the 2012 numbers werethe second highest on the table. Most numbers looked healthy overall.

To show how those funds are being put to good use, back in the spring of 2012, the athletic budget for 2013 year was approved at $92,130,725. Projects underway for the 2013 year include/included facility-related projects, major renovations at Foley Field and upgrades at Gate 10 of Sanford Stadium.

In addition, new upgrades totaling $1,006,000, were approved for new scoreboards at the soccer, baseball, and softball fields. The upgrades, replacing the video displays, are expected to provided “an enhanced” game-day experience for fans and student-athletes.


UGA Athletic Department Finances$1,350,000 was approving for major renovations at Foley Field. Also funds were set aside for baseball field improvements. These funds will be used for aesthetic enhancements, including a new sound system, new landscaping behind the outfield wall and improvement to the area known as Kudzu Hill. It will include new seating in right field, as well as a nice canopy. The cost of that particular project was estimated at $750,000. To get the fully story read more here.
