Former Trinity men’s basketball standout Joe Shotland has been appointed the assistant coach for the Tiger women’s team. He replaces Stephen Bourne, who served in the position for the past two seasons. Coach Bourne plans to become an athletic performance trainer in San Antonio. Coach Shotland was a 2014 summa cum laude graduate of Trinity, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. That same year, he was captain of the Tiger men’s basketball team, which captured its third straight SCAC Championship. Head Coach Pat Cunningham’s team also advanced to the NCAA Division III Playoffs.
