Mike Caruso, Associate Athletics Director for Game Management, has decided to retire from Texas A&M Athletics in August of 2018. Caruso has been a mainstay in Aggie athletics for more than 30 years. Caruso has served as associate athletics director since 2000 and served the previous seven years as an assistant athletics director for promotions and operations. He started his tenure in the Aggie promotions office in Sept. of 1987. “Mike has been an invaluable member of our athletics staff for many years,” Texas A&M Director of Athletics Scott Woodward said. “His attention to detail at our venues has been tremendous. He has helped make sure our fans have the best experience possible. We wish Mike, Jackie, and the kids all the best.” Caruso has been a member of the International Association of Venue Managers and the Stadium Managers Association. He has been associated with the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security since 2008. He has assisted with curriculum development and instructing at national training workshops for Sport Event Risk Management courses as well as a trainer for TEEX/National Emergency Response and Rescue Training Center in their Sports and Special Events Incident Management workshops. – kbtx – Read More
