Syracuse hired Tammi Reiss as a women’s basketball assistant coach on Sunday afternoon, head coach Quentin Hillsman announced in a press release. Reiss spent the last two seasons as the associate head coach at Cal State Fullerton. She served as the team’s recruiting coordinator and worked primarily with guards. Reiss also previously worked as an assistant coach with San Diego State, Virginia and the WNBA’s Utah Starzz. Reiss was drafted by the Starzz in 1997 with the fifth overall pick and played professionally for two seasons. – Paul Schwedelson, Daily Orange. Read more.
