Saint John’s University (Minn.) named Pat McKenzie, a 2004 SJU graduate, its head basketball coach on Wednesday, April 15. McKenzie becomes the 15th head coach in the 113-year history of Johnnie basketball and replaces Jim Smith, who announced his retirement March 17 following 51 seasons at SJU. McKenzie completed his ninth season as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator in 2014-15.
