The St. Bonaventure University athletic department is aiming to expand its youth fan base, according to Seth Johnson, the department’s director of marketing and promotions. With a new focus on the men’s basketball program, there will be an emphasis on serving underprivileged kids in the community, he said. Officials aim to pack the Reilly Center seats with kids who may not be able to attend without some help. “We’ve done a lot of stuff with local schools, especially with women’s basketball and its pen-pal program,” Johnson told the Times Herald on Wednesday. “We’re trying to bring some of that into our men’s basketball relations. … We’re trying to really push creating young Bonaventure fans.” The department will expand its Bona Give Back Program, Johnson announced. -Kelsey Boudin, Olean Times Herald, Read More
