When new Southern Utah Athletic Director Jason Butikofer was the Director of Annual Funds at the University of Minnesota, he had what he called a carrot. Something he dangled out to the community, when asking for money. While it might not be as grand or exciting as a new stadium, he sees something that he can dangle to entice the Southern Utah community to reconnect to the school and help put SUU athletics on a profitable and secure path. He thinks that by educating the community on where SUU really sits within the conference, then the T-Birds can begin to increase revenue.
