Cory Baldwin, head men’s basketball coach at South Georgia State College, has announced the addition of Sam Watson as an assistant coach for the 2016-2017 season. A native of Knoxville, Tenn., Watson played basketball at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga (NCAA Division I) before transferring to Young Harris College (NCAA Division II) to finish his career. Watson is the first assistant coach hired by Baldwin in many years who has had no direct affiliation with SGSC. The Hawks officially begin practice for the 2016-2017 season Oct. 1 and open the season Nov. 2 against the Martinique National Team.
