A former University of Alabama women’s basketball player has been named the athletic director at Shelton State Community College, according to a Tuesday news release. Cara Crosslin is in her second year working in the Shelton State athletic department. She previously served as an athletic support specialist. She is from Tuscumbia and played basketball at UA from 1993-97. Crosslin was a member of UA’s 1994 Final Four team. She also earned a bachelor’s degree in human performance and a master’s degree in educational leadership.
