Last week’s eighth annual Donor Matching Day, which rallies Seton Hall alumni, fans, faculty and staff together in support of Pirates student-athletes and in conjunction with Seton Hall Giving Day, enjoyed record fundraising as the Pirate Blue Athletic fund received just over $236,000 from 747 donors. This year’s Donor Matching Day fundraising represents a 35 percent increase over last year and surpasses the previous record of $207,000 set in 2016. “Last week’s record Donor Matching Day was another incredible effort by Pirate Blue Nation, who once again have united alongside Seton Hall Athletics in support of our student-athletes,” said Seton Hall Vice President & Director of Athletics Pat Lyons. Donor Matching Day’s 50-state challenge once again brought #PirateBlueNation together as Seton Hall supporters across the country gave in support of the Pirates. Once Pirate Blue secured the final state, Minnesota, in the 2 p.m., hour, the successful challenge triggered a $50,000 gift from an anonymous donor.  – Read More
