Rutgers University Director of Athletics Pat Hobbs today announced leadership changes in the men’s and women’s track & field and cross country programs. Robert Farrell will serve as director of track & field and cross country and Mike Mulqueen will transition to men’s and women’s cross country head coach. The contract of James Robinson will not be renewed. Robinson served 13 seasons as head coach of the women’s cross country and track & field team programs, coaching 17 All-Americans and 10 conference individual champions. A 1995 Rutgers graduate, he assumed the reins in 2006 following the retirement of Roberta Anthes. “James is an alum and former team captain who dedicated much time and effort to Rutgers Athletics,” said Hobbs. “We wish him the best moving forward.” Read More.
