Purdue women’s basketball head coach Sharon Versyp announced the hiring of Matthew Layman as the new video coordinator for the Boilermakers on Monday. Layman comes to Purdue after stops at Heidelberg University and Case Western Reserve, and was a student-athlete at Manchester University in Northeast Indiana. Layman was a two-sport athlete at Manchester, participating in men’s basketball and track and field during his time with the Spartans. He still holds the school record in the 60-meter hurdles, and was a conference placewinner in several events, including the high jump and triple jump.
