Plymouth State University has announced that Flynn, who helped transform the girls basketball team at Beverly High, had been hired as its new women’s basketball coach. In just two short seasons Flynn put Beverly High girls basketball back on the map. The former 1,400-point scorer at Salem High brought a fresh new approach and system to BHS, and her players quickly bought into what she was teaching. Flynn takes over for Liz Stich, who coached Plymouth State the last three seasons. She has plans to move up to New Hampshire in the summer and begin recruiting for next year’s team. – Gianna Addario, Salem News. Read more.
