Retired Penn State Altoona Director of Athletics Fredina M. Ingold has been announced as one of three recipients of the 2015 James Lynah Distinguished Achievement Award by the Eastern College Athletic Conference. The James Lynah Distinguished Achievement Award is bestowed annually to former ECAC athletics administrators who have achieved outstanding success in their careers and have made an unusual contribution in the interests of intercollegiate athletics, the NCAA, and the ECAC. During her 37-year tenure with Penn State Altoona, Ingold successfully revived an athletics program that had been dormant from 1991-1993. Ingold will be presented with the award at the ECAC’s annual Honors Luncheon on September 28.
