The UMass Lowell athletic department announced an 80% increase in fundraising efforts during the 2018 fiscal year, which included leading the way on Days of Giving in April, winning the campus challenge for the second year in a row raising with a total of over $88,000 raised in 48 hours. The total number of River Hawk donors increased to 2,049, which was up from the 1,491 donors during 2017. The Costello Campaign, the first-ever fundraising campaign by UMass Lowell Athletics, was launched in the fall of 2018. To date, the department has raised $3.1 million of the $5 million dollar goal through private donors and corporate pledges. The $3.5 million dollar Phase I renovation plans are underway with the intent to break ground in the spring of 2020. – Read More
