Ryan Shockey has been named the Interim Athletic Director at Olivet College. The announcement comes after the school terminated the contracts of former Athletic Director David Sichterman and Assistant Athletic Director Korey Heppeard on July 10. Shockey joined the Comet staff in 2013 as head athletic trainer, and will continue to serve in that capacity. Prior to Olivet, he was head athletic trainer at Trine University (Ind.) for six years. Shockey worked primarily with the football, indoor track and baseball teams, while coordinating supervision and coverage for all varsity and junior varsity teams.
