Nova Southeastern University women’s head basketball coach LeAnn Freeland is pleased to announce the elevation of Abbie Tepe to full-time assistant, effective immediately. Tepe, who was the team’s point guard from 2007-11 and immediately became a volunteer assistant coach following the end of her playing career, was tapped by Freeland to replace Brooklyn Kohlheim, who accepted a position at nearby Florida Atlantic. In four seasons, Tepe has helped lead the Sharks to a 96-31 overall record, two SSC regular season championships, two SSC Tournament championships, and back-to-back-to-back South Region titles, leading to the program’s first three appearances in the NCAA Elite Eight. – Wlchrist, Broward.
